There are 12 tiers of electrolyzers in the game, running from [[LV]] through to [[UMV]]. The [[multiblock]] equivalent, the [[Industrial Electrolyzer]], can go through to [[MAX]] voltage. Generally, the rarer or more complex the compound, the higher the tier of electrolyzer that is required. For example, the electrolysis of water into hydrogen and oxygen only requires [[LV]], while the electrolysis of alumina into aluminium and oxygen requires [[HV]].
