Hungry Node
Loose blocks, a mysteriously growing crater and mobs being tossed up into the air are all signs of a Hungry Node. This destructive node pulls in and consumes anything that gets within a fifteen block radius, potentially increasing its primal aspects in the process. Entities in contact with a Hungry Node take void damage. There are very few blocks a Hungry Node will not destroy, such as Obsidian, graves and warded blocks. Being mostly invisible except for its effects, the Hungry Node is one of the more dangerous hazards; thankfully it's also one of the rarest. Experienced Thaumaturges can manipulate a captive Hungry Node.

Mound
Mounds are the rarest of the Thaumcraft generated structures, requiring a large flat open area of grass with no close nodes to be placed. The entrance is made of cobblestone, mossy cobble, chiseled stone and iron bars. Inside is a sinister node, two spawners (zombie & skeleton) and some loot. The presence of a sinister node will cause the surrounding biome to change to eerie over time.

Hilltop Stones
This obsidian structure looks similar to an Eldritch Ring on JourneyMap, but instead of banners and a floating obelisk it has a ring of small obsidian pillars decorated with vines. The center has a chest of Loot and a Sinister Node. The chest will contain two sets of rolls from the dungeonChest Loot Table. Below the block of obsidian the chest is on is a Wisp spawner, the only natural way to get Wisps outside of the Nether. All Wisps spawn Infernal and in combination with Furious Zombies from the node.

Tiny Cactus
Tiny Cactus is a plant that can generate in hot, sandy biomes. Like its larger vanilla variant, tiny cacti will hurt entities that come into contact with them. Breaking a Tiny Cactus will drop the item which can be replanted or smelted into Cactus Green dye. A similar looking but harmless plant is added by Pam's Harvestcraft, the Desert Garden, which causes no damage.
