From GT New Horizons

GTNH is divided up into tiers, which roughly correspond to a player's level of progress in the pack. Each new tier unlocks more materials, machines, multiblocks and mods available to use. The first ten tiers up to UHV are considered fully implemented, while major changes are still in development for UEV-Max. Tier is a common term used by many mods; other tiered mechanics are listed below.

  5. ↑ Nether Small Ore only until T2 Rocket.
  6. ↑ 6.0 6.1 Technically both the Nether and End are available from Stone Age, however it's strongly discouraged to visit either without sufficient preparations. The End Dragon is buffed and quite difficult without Flight, regeneration and a good ranged weapon.
  7. ↑ 7.0 7.1 This ore is available earlier as a small ore, but only plentiful after unlocking the Twilight Forest.
  8. ↑ Glowstone is available as early as Nether access, or easily farmed in LV with Biome o' Plenty Glowflowers.

Mods by Tier

Most child mods are rolled into their parent mod for the purposes of this table. Exceptions are made where the child-mod content is vastly different in gating, such as with Gendustry. Not listed on this table are mods without any gating or player-craftable content (world generation, utility, mobs, etc.)

  1. ↑ A few bits of Draconic Evolution unlock earlier, such as the Item Dislocator (LV) and Disenchanter (HV). Most require draconium at minimum.
  2. ↑ Forestry includes Extra Bees, Extra Trees, Botany, Genetics & Binnie Core. Mostly gated at late Steam/early LV.
  3. ↑ Gendustry requires significant bee breeding advancements (plutonium, uranium, naquadah, etc.) to progress and is mostly gated to LuV+. Its scoop and grafter unlock at HV.
  4. ↑ Post-Moon; Personal Dimension is a Quest Book reward only, cannot be crafted.
  5. ↑ See Stone Age Thaumcraft. The intended start point for TC is early MV. The Infusion Altar can be constructed as soon as a 40vis craft is possible, if an Eye of Ender is acquired via Villager trade or other means.
